History

Russian Union of Innovation and Technology Centres (RuITC) was established in 2000, aimed at creating and enhancing organizational and commercial mechanisms of Russian small and medium sized companies support in research and innovation areas.

For this purpose the Russian Union of Innovation and Technology Centres consolidates multi industry infrastructure organizations of different scale and specialization profile (ITCs, technoparks, business incubators, business centres, consulting companies) in regions with high scientific and innovational potential (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Zelenograd and others), which provide production and technological support and legal assistance to small and medium sized enterprises.

The Russian Union of Innovation and Technology Centres, comprising 27 ITCs and infrastructural organizations, supports over 6 000 innovative companies, research organizations and universities in 52 regions of Russia and functions as a flexible body, coordinating cooperation and comprehensive support of emerging and well-established small and medium sized companies, thus being a vital element of the Russian Innovation System.
